Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Ingredo.app account and all the data attached to it at any time. Deletion is irreversible.

Delete in the app

Open Ingredo.app, sign in, go to Account, and tap "Delete account." Confirm in the dialog that appears. Your account is deleted immediately.

Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, email privacy@ingredo.app from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days, in line with the GDPR.

What gets deleted

Your condition and diet profile (including any health-related selections such as Celiac or a nut allergy), your saved allergens, your scan history, your favourites, and your Firebase sign-in account. All of this is deleted from our database and cannot be recovered. If you've reported a missing product or incorrect data, or submitted a label photo, we also remove your identifier from those reports — the report itself stays part of the shared catalogue, but it's no longer linked to you.

What isn't affected

Deleting your account never affects the shared product and ingredient catalogue (sourced from Open Food Facts and Open Beauty Facts) — only your own personal data is removed. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture of what we collect and why.
