Why we built Ingredo.app
Ingredo.app exists because the same product isn't equally good for everyone — someone with Celiac disease and someone with no dietary restrictions deserve different answers, not the same generic score.
Existing scanning apps like Yuka and Green Point give every user the same verdict. We kept hearing the same complaint: the score doesn't know anything about me.
So we built the personal layer first: a profile of your conditions and diet that re-scores every scan, alongside the transparent, source-cited base score everyone sees.
Personalisation and transparency
Every flag Ingredo.app shows — hard block, caution, or good match — cites the regulation or study behind it. We'd rather show our work than ask you to trust a number.
Where we don't have verified data, we say so explicitly rather than guessing. Unknown ingredients are marked "insufficient data," not silently scored.
Where we're starting
Greece is our primary launch market, in Greek and English, covering both food and cosmetics from day one. The MVP is free — everything unlocked, no paywall — while we learn from real use before deciding on a revenue model.
